As I do not like to leave a system demanding web browser open all the time and since there is no other feasible alternative, I will have say farewell to the use of Facebook messenger. Alas it was the one true feature of Facebook that I actually made use of on a routine basis. I rarely actually log onto my Facebook page so communicating that way for me is not an option. Perhaps in the future someone will understand the mistake of dropping this messenger support and I will reconnect again, but until then those who have need to contact me please make use of my e-mail, AIM (akell1166), Google-Talk (setupartist66), Yahoo IM (andyk1166) or leave me a comment here on my blog.

4 Wheeler running very badly, tear apart carburetor and clean it, place it back on. Start 4 wheeler and it is not running any better. Tear apart carburetor again and let it soak in lacquer thinner over night, upon reassembly 4 wheeler running only marginally better. #scratchhead Drain gas tank and remove from machine and clean it out, replace and refill with fresh gas, remove & drain carburetor and replace. 4 wheeler still not running right, #damn give up for a day and look for prices on new carburetor. #yikes!  

Walk by electrical outlet in barn and see mud dauber packing mud into the ground on the outlet #Idea! Pull Carburetor bowl vent off and try to blow through the tube.#noluck Dig mud out of the end of vent tube … all better. #palm/face

The Chimney base is set and ready for the rest of the 22 feet.

 

A touch more Grout work to make it all look a little nicer, but that can be done over the summer.

A couple more tee's and the draft control is all that is left to finish inside,

and it will be a good job finished!

In With The New

The Yukon Eagle Husky I finally sitting in its new home.

Next step is making all the needed connections, Fuel oil, electrical and of course the plenums and duct work. The rest of the chimney is on order and can be up in a matter of 40 minutes or so once it arrives.

And I Am Through The Wall

It's a large jump in price from the 6- inch Selkirk HT (high temp) chimney pipe to the 8- inch.

 

As much as I wanted to send the HT through the concrete, it simply could not happen, a 10- inch diameter pipe simply will not fit through a 9 1/2- inch hole. After working out exactly what I could fit through the exiting 32- inches of concrete I opted for the best I could by using the double-wall stove pipe and still had enough room to wrap insulation around it.

The quality of the products used is the best, all stainless steel, so I shouldn't have to worry about anything needing replacement for a good number of years. So in reality I guess the cost is justifiable. There's no reason to buy a top end furnace and connect it to a chimney that is not up to the job.
